Paris: Was The American President (MIA)?

 by George Weir –

Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015 millions of people gathered in Paris to show unity for the freedom of the press, and their ability to bring truth and light by the written word and also by cartoons, but while by doing so will put a target on their backs.

This rally was brought forth by the murder of 17 people just living their lives and caring for their family’s.  The rally began at the place de la pepulique very near the Charlie Hebdo offices where 12 were murdered for nothing more than expressing their opinion.

The rally was estimated at about 3.7 million, and among these were leaders which wanted to be among those that were marching for the unity of the people and their ability to read, write, and think for themselves.   Among these world leaders we find French President Francois Hollande, British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.  Also among these were Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

This was a chance of a lifetime for these leaders to express their desire to promote freedom, and to let the world see that there are those that are willing to stand up for human dignity, and their right to govern their own lives without the threat of death, and also their right to exercise their religion without the dread of murderous terrorist with their quest for World dominion.

This would also been a ideal time for President Obama to rally on behalf of the United States of America, but apparently he had other (Irons in the fire), because he was nowhere to be found, and rightfully so the American people were astounded at his apparent unconcern about the basic freedoms of American, “The freedom of speech, and the freedom of the press”.

If I may back this up a bit, I mentioned in the above the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was also among those the rallying for freedom, and their right to express their opinions without the threat of death.  Some people just can’t turn down the opportunity to be noticed by the press and have their picture taken even when they don’t agree with the cause.

Which brings me back to the story, Where was our President?

His little minions claim that the Security of the president would have been in grave danger, because there just wasn’t enough time to arrange things to their perfection, so, the president thought it best to stay home and watch it on TV.

Actually I’ve read many others commenting on this (MIA) but none seems to know the whereabouts of the president,  What could he have been doing?

Being the doubter that I am, I have a few suggestion, it’s quite possible that he was studying  his latest golf manual, or possibly he was working on a puzzle and only need one more day to finish, then he could say, I’ve accomplished something.

Or it’s possible that he was sharpening his (Pen in Hand) for future possibility of scraping more of the Constitution, or, is it possible that he was actually reading the constitution?  Now I am just dreaming.

We have all had to cancel appointments and meetings at some point in life, this is to be expected, but, for the most of us these events are not something that effects world opinion toward freedom, and the basic right of expression.    In my humble opinion this would have been one of those rare moments in time to walk hand in hand with the leaders of the free world, and stand up for the dignity of mankind, and his or her right to life and freedom.

But with the president (MIA) at Paris, it makes one wonder, what could have been more important than showing unity with the human race?
