Parents of children who are on the autism spectrum are well aware of the various approaches to therapy that are available. …

… Fortunately, a new Israeli study on the effects of medical cannabis therapy on autism has brought to light some very encouraging results.

According to Arutz Sheva, the study “found that cannabis treatment with a high concentration of CBD (the non-psychoactive substance considered to have medicinal properties) improved the condition of 80% of the children in the study.” Of the parents who reported a decrease in difficult behavior, 62 percent actually saw an improvement in the behavior of their children.

The effects of the treatment, which contained “a concentration of 20% CBD and 1% THC for at least seven months,” didn’t just help children with behavioral issues, but also improved problems with communication in half the patients in the study.
